Presenter Bio:
Hein Ries is an Electrical Engineer specialising in automation, control, and instrumentation, with more than 12 years of experience in the mining, water, and industrial automation sectors. He is passionate about training others and sharing insights gained through his work. He has been involved with the SAIMC Cape Town committee for many years and always assist others with a smile.
Presentation Brief:
In today’s data-driven world, accurate equipment and data labelling are more critical than ever. Hein will explore the importance of naming conventions and introduce the ISO/IEC 81346-1 Labelling Standard. The session will highlight the risks associated with inconsistent labelling and how poor naming practices can have real life implications.
